RECYCLE OR UPCYCLING, WHATS THE DIFFERENCE?

RECYCLE OR UPCYCLING, WHATS THE DIFFERENCE?
Upcycling can be translated as "recycling up", ie giving a second life to objects by diverting them most of the time from their usual use.

There is a first fundamental difference between these two processes, it is the chemical treatment used for recycling, which does not exist at all in upcycling.

Recycling can be defined as the treatment of waste and the reintroduction of the materials that come from it into a new life cycle. For example, glass is recyclable to infinity. New glass bottles are made by recycling the old ones.

In upcycling, unused materials or objects are recovered as they are, without being broken down into raw material. With a little imagination, they find a new use, sometimes different from that for which they were originally created. Many elements of decoration can be created from bottles, preserves, pallets ... it becomes even tendency!
